TikTok gives Hitler a redemption arc
Apparently there are a couple of videos on TikTok with Adolf Hitler's speeches translated into English using AI and those videos have gained a lot of traction. listening to speeches doesn't always indicate trying to spread hate. It is important in a historical matter, But this is TikTok we are talking about where users would absolutely take information at surface value. Even if those videos were meant to be used in a historical context, The nature of the app means that the video can easily be taken in the wrong context.
You don't have to be political to know that Adolf Hitler is the universal bad guy. If there was a lingua franca for horrible people, It would be Adolf Hitler. Almost everyone knows how bad he was. So the fact that TikTok managed to make people SYMPATHIZE with him that easily is a massive feat within itself. If this generation can easily be drawn to the Nazis, then we are completely screwed.
