STOP RENDERING GAME TEXTURES IN 4K!!!!!

Ever wonder why game sizes are so big for no good reason? Well I'm glad you asked. It's because the textures are rendered in 4K instead of a more optimal solution like 2K.

"But why should we make our games look worse?" OK? And guess what? You aren't going to notice a thing by having your games rendered in 2K AND you get lower file sizes. The average untrained eye can not tell notable differences between HD resolutions which is a reason why so much movies in modern times have been mastered in 2K, A prime example would be Avengers Infinity War and Endgame despite being shot on 6K resolution. And 4K really only makes a notable difference on film scans and HDR.

With games, The situation is "worse" Textures are no where near as detailed as real life and in addition, If I put pictures of Battlefield 1 and Black Ops 6 together I doubt that people could tell which games are older because that's how far we have gotten with technology. If a game from 2016 can look great without the need for 4K textures, Why do games need them? Utterly pointless waste of money unless you offer them as an optional DLC. That I am ok with.
